Established by notarial deed on 4 June 2024, executed before a civil-law notary in Utrecht; ANBI status with effect from 16 July 2024. The statutory Object (Article 2): to address humanity's systemic and global crises by organising and catalysing systemic transformation — for a sustainable, just and liveable world with equal opportunities for all — particularised across seven public-benefit areas spanning welfare, environment, sustainable economy, health, equality, just institutions, and international cooperation.
The main points of the current policy plan.
To organise and catalyse systemic transformation in response to humanity's systemic and global crises — for a sustainable, just and liveable world with equal opportunities for all — pursued across the seven public-benefit areas named in the Articles.
Completing the founding design of the UnitedPeoples institution (the Due Diligence Book, the Founding Memorandum, the working platform demonstration); securing founding philanthropic capital; then executing the Sprint–Build–Deploy programme to public launch: the first three GlobalCircles, UP HUB v1 and NAVi v1, live together at D-Day in The Hague.
Founding philanthropic capital sought from a small number of founders, staged and gate-reviewed within a hard three-year ceiling; donations, deductible for Dutch taxpayers under the ANBI regime; and, at maturity, the constitutionally-bound Three-Way Flywheel returning a share of the planned company's profit to the foundation in perpetuity.
The foundation's assets are bound to its Object by an asset-restriction clause: no person or entity may treat them as their own. Funds are held with a Dutch bank and deployed against the board-approved plan and budget.
Resources are spent directly on the founding programme — design, governance, platform, launch — under the gate discipline described in The Plan. On any dissolution, any surplus passes to a comparable public-benefit institution, never to private parties.
Who governs, and what they are paid.
The board comprises R.J. (Bob) Westrope (Founder, Chairman), David Janzen and Juriaan Bosman. Board members are appointed by the board itself, serve fixed terms to a maximum of eight years, and are unremunerated — they receive no compensation for their board service. The founder is Acting Chief Executive and has worked unpaid through the design phase; the foundation has paid no salaries to date. When staff are engaged post-funding, remuneration will follow a board-approved policy published on this page.
The board, staff and Launch Team in fullWhat the foundation has actually done.
Stichting UnitedPeoples established by notarial deed (4 June); ANBI public-benefit status granted with effect from 16 July; board constituted; founder relocated to The Hague (October) and the foundation seated in the city.
The most intensive design phase in the institution's history: the complete Due Diligence Book (governance, Circle architecture, NAVi blueprint, THRIVE, ACE, revenue model, operational plan), the v11 financial model, and the assembly of the launch team and vendor stack. In the third quarter, the senior partner leading the funding effort suffered a catastrophic health event and subsequently resigned; the founding-capital programme was restarted in late 2025, with the founder continuing as sole principal.
The Founding Memorandum completed; the working platform demonstration (UP HUB and NAVi) built; the founding-capital programme opened to prospective founders; the public website re-launched with the full institutional case.
Published within six months of year end.
The foundation's financial statements — the balance sheet and the statement of income and expenses, with notes — are published here annually. Through the design phase the foundation has been funded principally by its founder (over €425,000 of personal capital); it has paid no salaries and holds no commercial revenue.
Not required for FY2025 — below the €50,000 ANBI threshold; the required particulars are published on this page. The form will be filed for the first year fundraising income reaches €50,000.
This page is the ANBI publication location of record.
