The founder

R.J. (Bob) Westrope, FRSA

Founder · Chairman · Acting CEO

A Canadian entrepreneur with more than thirty years building and reinventing businesses, and the founder and architect of UnitedPeoples and its decade-long design lineage through Leaders Expedition. Sole funder of the founding decade, he relocated to The Hague in October 2024 to stand the institution up in the world and be on the ground through to D-Day. His task now is the opposite of holding on: to build an institution strong enough to outgrow him.

Style

  • UnitedPeoples on first reference; UP after that.
  • UP is said as the word “up”, never as the letters U-P.
  • NAVi, UP's AI guide, is said “nah-vee” — and it is an “it”, never a “she” or a “they”.
For the record

NAVi, UP’s AI guide, can answer questions about any of it. For anything a story will rest on, ask the press contact.

The first cheque funds the Sprint.

The decision on one page: what about €2.5 million funds in thirteen weeks, what Week 13 decides, and what follows. The Founding Memorandum is one request away, with a personal reply from The Hague within 48 hours.
